What REALLY Makes A Fuel Girls Show Feel Dangerous?
June 13, 2026 by Hannah in Fuel Girls 0 Comments

Fire helps.

But honestly? The music is what transforms a show from impressive to unforgettable.

Every Fuel Girls performance starts with atmosphere. Before the flames, the choreography and anyone stepping on stage, there’s the soundtrack. The right soundtrack changes everything.

Music controls tension. Emotion. Timing. Energy.

A slow cinematic build can make an audience hold their breath before the first flame even appears. A heavy industrial drop can flip the entire mood of a performance in seconds.

Sometimes we’ll hear a track and instantly picture fire patterns, stage visuals or choreography in our heads before rehearsals have even started. That’s one of our favourite parts of creating shows, finding music that feels massive enough to match the energy we want to bring to the stage.

Some songs become permanently attached to certain memories too. Specific tours – Masters of Dirt the girls have etched the intro track into their brains forevermore. Certain crowds – HHN32 Bodies will forever be chanting the countdown in a roar unison unlike any other. Some tracks shoot you back to choreography like you never missed a beat – years later hearing Hysteria by Muse shoots Shannon back into the steps like a day hasn’t passed.

The Designers Behind The Chaos
May 17, 2026 by wrenblackfire in Fuel Girls 0 Comments

A Fuel Girls costume has to survive a lot.

Fire, sweat, arena tours filled with fumes from motorbikes, last minute quick changes, travelling across countries stuffed into suitcases… sometimes all in the same weekend.

And somehow, despite the absolute chaos we put them through, some of the most incredible designers continue to create pieces for us that make us feel powerful every single time we step on stage.

Costume design has always been a huge part of the Fuel Girls world. The right outfit doesn’t just look good, it changes the energy of a performance completely. It helps build a character, a mood, a moment.

There’s a real art to designing for live performance too, especially for performers working with fire.

A piece has to move properly. It has to survive heat, choreography and long show days while still looking incredible under stage lighting. Practicality matters just as much as aesthetics, even if we do occasionally choose chaos over comfort. (Looking at you, 8-inch Pleasers.)

Side note: Miranda somehow walked down four stairs completely masked in 8-inch Pleasers during every single performance of Halloween Horror Nights’ Nocturnal Circus without stacking it once.

Fuel Girls 2024 recap: what a year!
January 16, 2025 by Hannah in Fuel Girls 0 Comments

Hello, fellow Fuel Girls enthusiasts!

I was going to open this blog with one of my favourite Von phrases  “HEY FUEL FANS, its Von here, one of the founding fathers of the Fuel Girls” but Wren has taken the p*** out of me solidly for one year regarding this opener on our socials, so I’m trying out something new for 2025 🤣.

As we bid farewell to 2024, what better time to reflect on the journey we’ve embarked upon this year. From performances at international arenas, secret private parties, and another EPIC HHN, to welcoming new talents into our ever-growing family, 2024 was nothing short of spectacular.

Masters of Dirt: Igniting the Year 🔥

Our year kicked off with a bang as we joined the adrenaline-fuelled Masters of Dirt tour across Europe. Performing in cities like Graz, Salzburg, and Vienna, we brought our signature fire and pyro acts to the forefront, complementing the high-octane freestyle motocross stunts. The synergy between roaring engines and our blazing performances created an atmosphere of pure exhilaration. We’re not sure there is a better start to the year than that, we challenge you to name one!

Fuel Girls Audition Day
August 14, 2023 by Hannah in Fuel Girls 0 Comments

A Glimpse into The Fuel Girls Auditions: The Search for the Next Generation of Fire Performers!

If there’s one thing The Fuel Girls have always been known for, it’s our love for pyrotechnics, epic aerial acts & producing awe-inspiring fire performances (even if we do say so ourselves!). With over 20 years in the industry, we’ve wowed audiences worldwide with our fiery displays. Yet, even as we continue to set the stage on fire – both metaphorically and literally – our commitment to fresh new talent and innovation never wanes.

This year marked another exciting chapter in our story, as we hosted auditions in London, aiming to uncover the next wave of talent to join the iconic Fuel Girls brand. Our mission was to find performers who could match our passion, skill, and fearless attitude that’s required to take to the stages with us, around the globe. With over 300 applications pouring in, the anticipation and excitement was palpable!

Imagine our dilemma – having to review so many talented applications brimming with talent and potential! It was a month-long process, as we dived deep into understanding the capabilities of each beautiful artist.

Learn with us…. online classes & tutorials
June 18, 2020 by Hannah in Fuel Girls 0 Comments

Over the past 3 months we have been sharing a schedule of socially distanced, but very much together, free online classes & tutorials on our Fuel Girls FACEBOOK LIVE. This has kept us SANE and connected throughout this weird lock-down period! It has also created a lot of fun as well as keeping us both fit AND stocked up on hugely sugary home made cakes. They do say it is all about balance!

We have given you online classes in fire choreography with Katie (obviously with unlit props, so no house fires here!!) to make-up tutorials with Charlotte. Cooking classes with Shireen, fitness classes with Von and Yoga with Kayla plus lots more. We have all joined each others classes and enjoyed seeing the faces of our gorgeous crew and YOU LOT, over this time of….. well how can we describe it…. lock down insanity!

We have now turned some of those public online classes private (via Zoom and some face to face), to allow you to learn 1-2-1 and work with us in a more in-depth way. We have focussed our classes on the things you asked for, such as choreographing with specific fire props or working on certain make-up looks –

The London Tattoo Convention – with MikI VIALETTO
April 3, 2020 by Hannah in Fuel Girls 0 Comments

When did the London Tattoo Convention first start?

The first London Tattoo Convention was held in September 2004.

Was it always at the Tobacco Dock Venue?

Actually no… We started in Brick Lane at the Old Truman Brewery. At the first London Tattoo Convention we invited around 300 tattooers, it was not the huge show it is today. We held the show at the Old Truman Brewery for 4 years, then my partner Marcus Berriman discovered Tobacco Dock, which at the time was not a very popular venue. Actually, I think I can say that the London Tattoo Convention put Tobacco Dock on the map, because at the time we were the biggest event to be held there. The reason we switched venues was to find a bigger place because the convention was growing fast and becoming a life style and cultural festival, not only a tattoo event, and Tobacco Dock was the best venue available in London for this.

How has the Tattoo Scene changed over the years?

The tattoo scene has changed a lot. The biggest changes in the recent history of the tattoo world happened in 2004 when the Discovery Channel released ‘Miami Ink’,

RELATIONSHIPS IN THE INDUSTRY WITH VON!
March 9, 2020 by Hannah in Fuel Girls 0 Comments

Hello Fuel fans, and welcome to another instalment of my monthly blog! I’m almost 100% sure you know me by now, but if you’re unfamiliar, I’m Fuel’s longest-standing member. I’ve been with them coming up to 14 years now 🥴 and alongside performing I work on production with our boss Hannah and help out with our social media.

I worked out today that I’ve actually been in the industry for 17 years! I started out at 17 as a glamour model back in the day when lads mags existed (which is how Fuel found me) so have quite the breadth of experience when it comes to navigating relationships whilst performing/creating sexy content.

Back in the day

As young Fuel Girl’s in the prime of our careers, we all always used to get the classic line from new partners after dating them for a little while, ‘IT’S ME OR THE FUEL GIRLS!’ – you could almost plan on a calendar when it was coming 🤣

It seems that people find it difficult being with us for many reasons;

A: LOT’S of travelling

B: lot’s of attention

C: Very sexy shows

D: Being very fierce strong independent women can sometimes be challenging for some men.

Fire Performance – the how, the what, the who the why!
February 13, 2020 by Hannah in Fuel Girls 0 Comments

As promised I’m back with the second instalment of the very exciting FUEL GIRLS BLOG! Last month we reached out to you guys to see what you wanted us to talk about, so this time we’re covering off that thing we actually do for a living – fire performance!

Now it’s not easy to answer a lot of the questions we get regarding our shows because quite frankly SO much goes into them behind the scenes it can be a little overwhelming to know where to start. Now, you also have to take into consideration the fact that we’ve all been doing this for at least ten years, so honestly, our girls make things that are technically REALLY hard, look crazy EASY!

Truth be told, you can’t just ‘become a fuel girl’ overnight, our girls all have a set of really unique skills that a. take a really long time to learn and master, and b. often aren’t learnt – for example, stage presence and performance, you sort of have it- or you don’t, and that is really, in my opinion, the thing that sets our girls apart from ALL other performance groups out there.

I thought I’d break down some of the most pertinent questions we get asked all the time,
